About the Zine: Scandals are multiplying surrounding major cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, the most spectacular of which is undoubtedly the conviction for fraud and money laundering of Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the FTX sales platform – which hasn't prevented Bitcoin from having regained its highest value in a year. This first-person account by Australian Sally Olds tells the anonymous story of these small, hasty investors who cling to crypto to better survive precariousness or find an ideology in which to... invest. Far from the image of the tech bro—a white, straight, geeky man in his early thirties with a pot belly—Sally Olds tells us how crypto has also sucked the life out of her queer, arty friends, fans of polyamory and one-night stands, and helps us understand how the success of cryptocurrencies, far from being limited to a monolithic ideology, has fueled a diversity of contradictory needs and desires.

Content : "Crypto Forever" is the translation of the eponymous chapter from the book People Who Lunch: Essays on Work, Leisure, and Loose Living published by Upswell Publishing in 2022.
